Apache Kafka is an open-source stream-processing software
platform which is developed by the Apache Software Foundation and written in
Scala and Java. It has higher throughput, reliability, and replication
characteristics, due to which it is applicable for things like tracking service
calls or tracking IoT sensor data where a traditional MOM might not be
considered.
